Police investigating an alleged terrorist plot to attack Britain called army bomb-disposal experts Monday to one of the properties they are searching. Greater Manchester Police said sending the bomb squad to the address in Liverpool was a precaution and no device had been found. Several nearby homes were evacuated.
Police arrested 12 men, most of them from Pakistan, across north-west England last week.
