Grams prices sharply higher on grain market

Grams prices were sharply higher on the wholesale grain and seed market on Tuesday while the wheat prices fell slightly in process of trading, dealers said. On the grams side, gram 50x50 low type was up by Rs 200 to Rs 2950 and better quality was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 3000, gram Australia was up by Rs 50 to Rs 3400-3600, gram dal Australia low type gained Rs 50 to Rs 3900 and superior type was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 4100.
Yellow peas Canada low type gained Rs 50 to Rs 2500 and superior type posted a gain of Rs 100 to 2600, yellow peas dal Canada low type gained Rs 100 to Rs 2750 and good type was up by Rs 50 to Rs 50 to Rs 2800, bajra inferir type was up by Rs 50 to Rs 1600 while the best type did not show any change at Rs 2450, they said.
On the cereal side urad from Burma low type shed Rs 50 to Rs 2100 and good type was lower by Rs 100 to Rs 2350, wheat old and new burdana (with bag) followed the same path, losing Rs 10 to Rs 2340-2355 during the day, they added. A solo deal was seen on the seed side, where cottonseed oilcake with bag sindh new better type picked up Rs 15 to Rs 1050, the inferior type stayed put at Rs 1040, they said.
