National Assembly standing committee for education on Tuesday formed a sub-committee to bring suggestions and recommendations to incorporate them in the proposed National Educational Draft Policy (NEDP). The committee was constituted on the suggestion of the State Minister for Education Ghulam Farid Kathia for forwarding valuable suggestions.
The committee met with its chairman Abid Sher Ali in the Parliament House and discussed the National Education Draft Policy 2009. Ghulam Farid informed the committee that government was planning to bring a new education policy and asked the members to give their valuable suggestion for formulating a new comprehensive policy.
The seven-member sub-committee under the convenership of Zubaida Jalal comprising Shakeela Khanam Rashid, Tasneem Siddiqui, Begum Nuzhat Sadiq, Farzana Mushtaq Ghani, Mir Ahmadan Khan Bugti and Dr Nadeem Ehsan.
The sub-committee will formulate recommendations to enhance education budget of Balochistan. The sub-committee will also prepare proposals to make the draft national education policy, 2009 more comprehensive and effective.
