An Iranian-registered ship was towed to shallow waters in Singapore after a collision Thursday with an Indonesian vessel, the port authority said. No casualties or environmental pollution were reported in the pre-dawn collision in the island-state's waters, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) said in a statement.
It said the cargo hold of Iranian-registered freighter Danoosh was damaged and the ship was moved "to a more shallow area" as a precautionary measure. The Indonesian vessel, Lagun Mas, sustained minor damage and was able to resume its voyage after the incident, the MPA said.
