Awami National Party's (ANP) Central Secretary, Senator Zahid Khan on Thursday said that strict action would be taken against saboteurs of Swat peace deal. "Tehreek-e-Nafaz-e-Shariat-e-Mohammadi (TNSM) has been asked to vacate Bunner and surrender their arms as agreed under Nizam-e-Adl regulation. The government wants peace there, if its writ would be challenged, we will take strict action against violators," he said while talking to APP here.
Zahid Khan said that the provincial government has asked the TNSM chief for some more time for setting up of Qazi courts in Malakand division. Referring to Balochistan situation, he said the solution of provincial problems lies in provincial autonomy and dialogue. He said there is sense of deprivation among the people of NWFP and Balochistan and the government has to take effective measures to remove their grievances.
To a question regarding reports of militants' occupation of Bunner, as mentioned by JUI-F leader Mulana Fazl-ur-Rehman in his speech in National Assembly, he said the government would not allow any one to challenge its writ. "We have asked TNSM chief to abide by the Adl regulation and maintain peace in the areas as well as surrender their arms", he said.
