Prince Mohiuddin elected chairman National Assembly body on Kashmir & Northern Areas

Member National Assembly (MNA) from Chitral Prince Mohiuddin has been unanimously elected as chairman National Assembly Standing Committee on Kashmir Affairs and Northern Areas (KANA).
Talking to Business Recorder after his election here on Thursday, he said that he would try his level best to come up to the expectation of much-deprived people of Northern Areas (NAs) and would try to remove the grievances of the masses vying for justice since the creation of Pakistan.
"I will leave no stone unturned to bring this backward area at par with other parts of the country", he stated emotionally, adding that the people of these remote areas have suffered for long. "Soon I will be visiting Gilgit, Skardu and other parts of NAs to assess the development needs of the area," he added vowing to strive hard for the uplift of NAs. He condoled the death of deputy speaker NAs Legislative Assembly Syed Asad Zaidi, who was killed by unknown gunmen recently.
Meanwhile, Chaudhry Nazir Ahmad Jatt, Ehsan Ullah Reki and Mir Ahmadan Khan Bughti were elected as chairmen Labour & Manpower, Petroleum & Natural Resources and Planning & Development, respectively. Secretary National Assembly Karamat Hussain Niazi conducted the elections of the Standing Committees. The Chairmen after their unanimous election thanked their fellow parliamentarians in reposing confidence in them.
They assured them that with concerted efforts; they would make the Committee useful, effective and purposeful. Members of the respective Committees while felicitating the elected chairmen assured them of their full co-operation for the smooth functioning of the Committees.
The meetings were attended by Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah, Minister for Labour and Manpower/Chief Whip and Members of the respective Standing Committees. Dr Fehmida Mirza, Speaker and Faisal Karim Kundi, deputy speaker National Assembly have congratulated the newly elected chairmen of the Standing Committees and assured them of their full co-operation in carrying out their constitutional obligations.
