Thai share prices closed 1.72 percent higher on Friday as the market welcomed the government's lifting of a state of emergency in and around Bangkok, dealers said. The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) composite index gained 8.01 points to close at 474.07 points while the blue chip SET-50 index added 5.89 points to 332.83.
