25 Apr, 2009

Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court here on Friday allowed advocate Muhammad Azhar Siddique a week time more to inspect the record of murder case of former prime minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Earlier, Azhar was allowed to inspect record for a couple of hours but he moved another application to CJ saying the record was voluminous and it was impossible for him to inspect in such a short time.
He requested to allow him a week time to complete the inspection. Azhar would start inspection in next week. LHC full bench had awarded death sentence to ZA Bhutto in 1978 during the martial law of Zia ul Haq. Now the Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has hinted to re-open the case to bring truth before the nation.
