Altaf lauds Kayani's statement for eradicating extremism

Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain hailing the statement of the Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani on redeeming the country from religious extremism paid tributes to him including every officer and soldier. Altaf said that armed forces had confronted in the past internal and external challenges dawned on the country with great valour.
It sacrificed thousands of lives to confront the uprising in tribal areas and paid rich tribute to them. He said that the leaders, workers and supporters of his party would extend their co-operation in every way for the redemption of the country from extremism and to save the country in every way including sacrificing their lives.
Also standing shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces during all difficult times. Meanwhile, Altaf Hussain expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of prominent religious scholar, Allama Aqeel Turabi. In a condolence message Altaf Hussain said that late Allama Aqeel had rendered valuable service for Islam, which will always be remembered.
He said that due to the death of Allama Aqeel Turabi the country is deprived of a great scholar. Sympathising with the bereaved family over the demise of religious scholar, Altaf prayed to Almighty Allah to place the departed soul in eternal rest and grant courage to his family to bear the loss with fortitude.
