The first demerit of the above regulation is its promulgation in disgraceful haste without debate by the National Assembly by all legislators with the exception of MQM and Ayaz Mir, MNA from Chakwal.
The fallout of this Nizam is bound to cause disunity and despair in the country. In fact, some of their recorded acts of blatant militancy, suicidal attacks, slaughter of Muslims, flogging of helpless females on flimsy grounds are not only despicable but profane to Islam.
