Steps being taken for welfare of industrial workers: minister

Sindh Minister for Women Development, Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto on Sunday said that the Women Development Department is taking practical steps for welfare and providing protection to industrial sector workers. She was talking to women workers belonging to different walks to life at her office here.
The Sindh Minister said the government providing various opportunities to women to enable them playing their best role in the society.
She said that Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Youth Development (BBSYD) Programme has been launched to provide technical training to the women. She noted that the approval in principle has been given for establishment of Voice of Women Commission to check and control domestic violence against women.
The Women Development Department had also organised various seminars, exhibitions and other events to promote and introduce the work of crafts-women at national and international levels. The crafts-women have received a great appreciation for their work, she added.
