27 Apr, 2009

The Provincial Minister for Information and Public Relations, Mian Iftikhar Hussain on Sunday said that the operation against militants in Lower Dir district would not affect the ongoing peace efforts in Malakand division and Nizam-e-Adl Regulations and vowed that nobody would be allowed to set up a system parallel to the provincial government in any part of the province.
The spokesman of NWFP government told APP that Dir Lower's operation has been initiated in retaliation over attack on the security forces and killing of security officials including ex-DPO Lower Dir Khurshid Khan.
'The operation in Lower Dir is in the knowledge of the NWFP government,' he added. Mian Iftikhar said after the enforcement of Nizam-e-Adl Regulations, no one would be allowed to take up arms.
'No parallel government would be allowed in any part of the province and government will take action against those who tried to destabilise the peace efforts for their vested interests.' He said that Darul Qaza will soon be set up on Malakand Division level for ensuring speedy justice to litigants.
