Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that government would purchase every single grain of wheat from the farmers so they should not be worried about their crops. He said that to facilitate the small farmers, the procurement target of wheat has been increased from 4 million tonne to 6 million tonne and the last date of procurement has also been extended till May 31.
Mian Shahbaz Sharif was addressing the farmers during his surprised visits to different procurement centers of Bahawalpur and Lodhran here on Sunday. He directed the administration to remove the labour charges and to double the duty staff for facilitating the farmers at procurement centers.
He also gave his cell number to farmers and said that they can contact him any time in case of any problem. CM said that he would again visit Bahawalpur on April 28 and if he received any complaint against any official then strict action would be taken against them.
