BISP to help in arresting poverty

Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) will help in arresting poverty at the earliest, said Tariq Mehmood Bajwa, MNA. He said here on Sunday that Pakistan People's Party (PPP) is pro-people democratic force and its policies are targeted to give maximum relief to the masses.
Lauding the vision of President Asif Ali Zardari and efforts of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to strengthen democracy and transform Pakistan into a strong, democratic and progressive country, he mentioned the recent pledges of Friends of Democratic Pakistan (FoDP) and said that maximum relief will be given to the poor segments of the society in the form of various policy measures.
