US MIDDAY: soya turns down

Chicago Board of Trade old-crop soyabean contracts turned lower early Tuesday, led by May amid talk of easing US soya export demand, traders said. CBOT May soyabean futures dropped 11-3/4 cents per bushel to trade at $9.93. Traders were also exiting May positions before first-notice day for futures deliveries on Thursday.
But new-crop months held strong with the old-crop/new-crop spreads weakening after firming for weeks on export demand.
