'APHC to launch door-to-door polls boycott drive'

The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) in occupied Kashmir, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that the form will launch door-to-door election boycott campaign to foil polls drama being staged to hoodwink the international community.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, while talking to newsmen after chairing a meeting of the workers of Awami Action Committee in Srinagar said that if New Delhi was serious to resolve the Kashmir dispute it must initiate meaningful dialogue with Kashmiris and Pakistan.
"We will not let India to stage the election drama in the occupied territory to deceive the world about the real dispute. We have directed the APHC leaders and activists to launch door-to-door campaign in their respective areas to boycott the polls," Mirwaiz said.
The APHC Chairman maintained that the people of Kashmir rendered unparalleled sacrifices for the Kashmir cause and it was high time to take the movement to its logical end. "We have never taken part in the elections not will take in future till Kashmir dispute is resolved according to aspirations of Kashmiris," he said.
Mirwaiz added that the successive puppet administrations even used pressure tactics, killings and harassment to suppress Kashmiris' struggle for right to self-determination but the people of Kashmir remained steadfast and would continue their struggle till its success.
The APHC Chairman said that the Kashmir dispute could only be resolved through meaningful dialogue, adding that the international community viewed Kashmir as a disputed territory and advocated for resolving in accordance with people's aspirations.
