HRDN organises 6-day ATR in Istanbul

Human Resource Development Network (HRDN) organised 6-day Annual Trainers Retreat (ATR) in Istanbul, Turkey form April to 24, 2009. HRDN is a membership based network of more than 800 members. The members include both individuals and organisations from Pakistan and abroad. The network is working as a strategic think tank for Human and Institutional Development.
ATR is one of the regular programmes of HRDN in which members are provided an opportunity to get exposure to the culture & traditions of different countries. At the same time the event also contribute towards the professional development of the participants.
The ATR was attended by 52 people. One of the important activities during the ATR was a one-day conference. This year the theme of event was Building the Capacity; Vision to Change, Power to Act. The Chairperson Roomi Saeed Hayat welcomed all participants.
He also highlighted the eleven years history of the network and acknowledged its efforts towards capacity building. Discussing the topic he said that being a network of trainers primarily, we all knew that capacity building was the key for human and institutional development. Most of the leading organisations today are focussing on building the capacity of its human resource to be competitive, he added.-PR
