Four alleged criminals arrested

On the orders of Capital City Police Officer, Muhammad Pervez Rathore, CIA Police City division has arrested four suspects of an organised gang involved in street crimes, dacoity, theft and motorcycle snatching and has recovered cash, mobile phones and illegal weapons from them. During initial investigation, suspects have revealed committing many serious acts of dacoity in various areas of the city.
According to the details, Capital City Police Officer, Muhammad Pervez Rathore issued instructions to SP CIA to take effective steps for eradication of street crimes in the city, who constituted a special team. The special police team collected requisite particulars of Shafique alias Chamo gang and arrested the culprits from Bagh Mochi Gate.
The ringleader of the gang, Muhammad Shafique alias Chamo, had constituted this dangerous gang, whose modus operandi was that, while riding on their motorcycles, they would snatch cash and valuables from the pedestrians, and on any possible resistance, would not even hesitate to directly fire upon the victim.
During March this year, these culprits tried to snatch motorcycle at gunpoint from one Zareen Khan and injured him when he put up a resistance. As many as 13 other serious cases of street crimes have also been traced against those culprits, who have also disclosed committing crimes in the areas of Lower Mall, Shahdara Town, Ravi Road, Shadbagh, Nawakot, Muslim Town and Mughalpura. Police has recovered 12 mobile phones, cash of Rs 175,000, four pistols and cartridges from the suspects.
The arrested suspects were identified as Muhammad Shafique alias Chamo, Nadeem Hussain, Muhammad Razzaq and Muhammad Irfan. Further investigation is in progress. Capital City Police Officer, Muhammad Pervez Rathore has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for members of the special police team.
