FOB Gulf corn firm on demand

US corn export premiums at the Gulf of Mexico were higher for June shipments on Tuesday amid steady export demand, while soyabeans were mostly unchanged. Traders said Asian demand and a slowdown in farmer selling after last week's uptake supported corn.
High water on the Illinois River after recent rains helping to raise bids for afloat cargoes in the CIF market. Soyabean basis offers were mostly steady, with one trader reporting sales to Israel and Tunisia.
