BRIndex30 gains 134.73 points

On Wednesday, the BRIndex30 opened in the red zone at 6,567.63, with a downward gap of 12.38 points, but soon went to positive zone and remained there for whole of the trading time. It closed at 6,714.74 with a net positive change of 134.73 points and percentage change of 2.05.
It experienced intra-day high of 6,786.58 and low of 6,567.63. The volume amounted to 104,114,600 shares, which was 73.31 percent of the total market and 91.37 percent of KSE-100 index. The volumes of KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 142,021,960 and 113,950,960 shares, respectively.
BR Commercial Banks Index closed at 2,359.61 with a net positive change of 62.29 points and percentage change of 2.71. The turnover for this sector was 33,634,100 shares. BR Oil and Gas Index closed at 1,513.44 with a net positive change of 1.64 points and percentage change of 0.11. The volume was 18,398,800 shares.
BR Cement Index closed at 716.20 with a net positive change of 22.98 points and percentage change of 3.31. The volume was 14,216,700 shares. BR Tech. & Comm. Index closed at 537.92 with a net upward change of 14.78 points and percentage change of 2.83. The volume of this sector was 7,995,500 shares. BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,214.98 with an upward change of 20.12 points or 1.68 percent. The turnover for this sector was 2,172,200 shares.
