Vice Chancellor, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro (LUMHS) Professor Noshad Ahmed Shaikh inaugurated Mohtrama Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Corner the University. In a briefing to Media he said this corner was to pay tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto for her great efforts and sacrifice for the democracy and integrity of the country.
Students should fallow her path and enlighten name of our country through positive and continued struggle for people of the country, he said. He said more than 49 Millions were spent on different new projects for the betterment of University and facilities of students to meet new challenges.
He urged Government to review policies to finalise ongoing projects without further delay. He said we are in dire need of University hospital of 500 hundred beds and need special grant from the Govt so that complains of patients could be reduced and they could be served with latest method.
Replying a question on new entry test system, he said that, now DOW and LUMHS will take their test themselves while PMC Nawabshah, CMC Larkana and GMMMC Sukkur will take their entry test under supervision of Health department. Now entry test will be taken after 10 days of Inter Science result. In the light of new decision of Honourable High Court seats of District Tharparkar will be enhanced according to their population and other will get their seat accordingly as well. All Deans and senior faculty members were also present at the occasion.
