Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that government's policies and programmes are aimed at uplifting of the common man as well as the poor. For the purpose a number of revolutionary and welfare projects have been launched in the province, he added.
Talking members of National and Provincial Assembly belonging to various districts here at Chief Minister's Secretariat he said that development projects were being completed on priority basis in less developed and remote areas and special attention was being paid to infrastructure development, water supply, drainage and provision of other facilities.
He said urged the elected representatives to maintain close contacts with the people and pay due attention to solution of their problems. Shahbaz said Food Support Programme (FSP) was aimed at providing relief to the families living below poverty line and was being implemented successfully.
He said that the main purpose of FSP was to impart vocational education to the children of indigent families so that they could stand on their feet and play their role for national development and prosperity.
