Development wing created in PMC

A development wing has been created in the PMC Chief Executive Officer's office to process the projects to improve medical education and health related facilities at the Punjab Medical College (PMC) and its attached hospitals.
Professor Dr Riaz Hussain, CEO, Punjab Medical College/Allied/District Headquarters hospitals said this while addressing the first ever conference on Tuberculosis, Bronchial Asthma and COPD organised by Punjab Chapter of the Pakistan Chest Society (PCS) here on Saturday.
Dr Riaz asked the doctors to submit their viable development projects to bring about a qualitative improvement in the medical education as well as health related infrastructure in PMC and its attached hospitals. He assured to provide necessary facilities for expeditious processing and approval of their projects with release of necessary funding.
He said that doctors are bound to serve the ailing humanity and their positive image in the society should also be projected through print as well as electronic media to convince young doctors to serve masses with a renewed commitment and devotion.
He appreciated the services rendered by Dr Eltifaat Hussain president Pakistan Chest Society Punjab Chapter and said that he has privilege to organise 3 activities during the last 3 months. He said that Dr Eltifaat also organised his resources without any wastage of time and energy to ensure best medical facilities to the TB and asthma patients in his ward.
Earlier Hafiz Mukhtar Randhawa Medical Superintendent DHQ hospital welcomed the organisation of this seminar by Pakistan Chest Society Punjab Chapter and said that it would help pulmonologists to improve and upgrade their knowledge and thus playing their role in arresting this disease. Dr Shamshad Rasul Awan from Sharif Medical Complex, Dr Eltifaat Hussain, Dr Abdul Hafeez Chaudhry head cardiology department Allied Hospital, Ashraf Ansari and others also addressed the conference.
