The special education cum vocational training institutions of Gujranwala district will be getting 16 new buses with rupees 20 million altogether. Commissioner Gujranwala, Khalid Masood Chaudhry made the decision while chairing a meeting here on Monday, which was also attended by DCO Gujranwala, district officer special education and other officials of the district government.
The meeting was apprised that funds for buying buses, in order to provide the much needed facility to handicapped children, have been released. "In the 29 institutions for special children there was some 2414 children with special needs", the Commissioner observed.
