The National Highways & Motorway Police (NH&MP) has decided to send the first truck of relief goods to the IDPs of Swat to Mardan tomorrow and every officer of NH&MP will donate Rs 10,000 in the Prime Minister Relief Fund. This was decided in a meeting held in NH&MP headquarters on Tuesday chaired by the Inspector General (NH&MP) Dr Wasim Kausar.
The IG NH&MP will see off the relief goods from NH&MP headquarters. The meeting also decided to set up Medical Relief Camps in the camp areas in Mardan and its surrounding areas, where free medicines would be provided to the affectees by the NH&MP. It was also decided that every officer of NH&MP will donate Rs 10,000 in the Prime Minister Relief Fund, for which a cheque from NH&MP would be handed over the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The meeting also decided to set up Relief Camps outside every Beat Camps and Toll Plazas of NH&MP, where relief goods would be collected from the general masses, which would be sent to the affectees.
Dr Wasim Kausar, said in a statement that the NH&MP would help our brothers and sisters who are in distress from all its sources. He further said that our focus will be ensuring speedy and adequate relief support to the people through NH&MP staff and volunteers. He further said that it was the moral and social responsibility of every Pakistani to support the sufferers.-PR
