Malaysian shares fell 0.2 percent Tuesday due to profit-taking, dealers said. The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index lost 2.48 points to close at 1,023.02 in a volume of 2.204 billion shares worth 1.66 billion ringgit (472.25 million dollars). There were 253 gainers, 452 losers and 198 traded unchanged.
Among decliners, Bumiputra-Commerce was down 1.1 percent at 8.90 ringgit while Tenaga slumped 1.3 percent to 7.35 ringgit. On the upside, Lion Corp rose 24.7 percent to 0.56 ringgit as E & O climbed 18.1 percent to 0.92 ringgit.
