Arabica coffee futures moved higher early Monday, with a boost from a firmer commodity complex and tight supplies for high-quality beans, while US cocoa slid, traders said. Arabica coffee for July delivery rose 0.70 cent to $1.2850 per lb by 9:18 am EDT (1318 GMT).
Session range from $1.2705 to $1.2995. July volume at 2,285 lots. One contract aside, the rest climbed 0.75 to 1.75 cents. Benchmark July cocoa fell $14 to $2,324 per tonne by 9:19 am. Session range from $2,295 to $2,354. July volume at 1,833 lots. The rest ranged $14 to $16 lower.
