BRIndex30 gains 171.7 points

On Friday, the BRIndex30 opened in the positive zone, at 6,649.32, with an upward gap of 67.69 points, and remained there for whole of the trading time. It closed at 6,753.33 with a net positive change of 171.7 points and percentage change of 2.61. It experienced intra-day high of 6,793.59 and low of 6,649.32.
The volume amounted to 154,144,200 shares, which was 76.36 percent of the total market and 91.36 percent of KSE-100 index. The volumes of KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 201,875,080 and 168,729,180 shares, respectively. BR Commercial Banks Index closed at 2,222.93 with a net positive change of 39.7 points and percentage change of 1.82. The turnover for this sector was 29,179,900 shares.
BR Cement Index closed at 708.12 with a net positive change of 21.07 points and percentage change of 3.07. Its volume was 23,497,200 shares. BR Oil and Gas Index closed at 1,544.73 with a net positive change of 35.55 points and percentage change of 2.36. The volume was 14,263,900 shares.
BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,195.67 with an upward change of 6.3 points and percentage change of 0.53. The turnover for this sector was 8,961,600 shares. BR Tech. & Comm. Index closed at 525.15 with a net upward change of 12.03 points and percentage change of 2.34. The volume of this sector was 11,189,600 shares.
