NH&MP seizes drugs, arrest smugglers

National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) has seized 01-kg Heroin, 120-kg Charras and 16-kg Opium worth millions of rupees and arrested three smugglers. The officers of motorway police during routine checking in the area of Chakri, signaled to stop an over speeding Corolla Car No R-2292 but instead to stop, the driver speed it and ran away.
The message was passed to other patrolling vehicles to stop the said car, the officers of other patrolling vehicle SPO Amir Nazrullah and PO Imran Abbas succeeded to stop it. On search of the car, the NH&MP officers found 01-kg Heroin, 120-kg Charras and 16-kg opium.
They also arrested the three smugglers named Kifayatullah, Saifullah and Sageer Ahmed residents of Peshawar. The officers of Motorway police took the narcotics into their custody and informed the Anti Narcotics Force. Later on the recovered narcotics and three smugglers were handed over to the Assistant Director, ANF, Naeemuddin for legal action.-PR
