Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) has established Help-Desk in the office of All Pakistan Commercial Exporters Association (APCEA). The decision into this effect was taken during a meeting between Smeda NWFP Chief Javed Iqbal Khattak and Chairman APCEA, Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi.
According to arrangements agreed with Smeda, a legal expert of the authority would provide free legal consultation and legal support to the members of the exporters association from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on every Wednesday. On this occasion, Manager Legal, Smeda, Mohammad Aamir briefed a delegation of the exporters on consultation and legal support to small and medium entrepreneurs and facilities available under Smeda Legal Services, legal experts, and opinion of the network of lawyers, sector of training courses, seminars and booklets.
The exporters were also informed about the facilitation of the Legal Services in tax, labour, corporate, environment, local government and other matters to the business community. On this occasion, chairman, APCEA, Gems and Gemological Institute Pakistan (GGIP) appreciated the efforts of Smeda and expressed the hope that it would also arrange such programmes in future also. He said that such facilitation would also help promote gemstone sector in the province.-PR
