ICMAP celebrates 58th anniversary

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) celebrated its "58th Anniversary" in Pakistan on Saturday (May 23, 2009). The ICMAP Secretary Zia ul Mustafa Awan highlighted that Management Accountants have duly been contributing in significant way by adding value to business wherever they work.
"We work with a strong code of professional ethics which is an integral part of professionalism. It is indeed crucial determinant of the overall health of economic units and also that of nation as a whole. With our technical excellence: we, the Management Accountants have been adding value thorough optimal utilisation of available resources and management of risk associated with the growth" he said.
Chairman Lahore Branch Council Muhammad Imran Afzal was of the view that the purpose of accountancy is to facilitate business and economic development. The Vice Chairman Ghulam Abbas Hanjra and other members of Lahore Branch Council also spoke on the occasion.
