Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and senior leader Pervaiz Elahi here on Saturday maintained that armed forces instead of firing on their own countrymen were fighting against anti-Pakistan elements and added that key player in this conspiracy was India.
The two leaders said that all the political forces should join hands and back the operation against the militant in Swat region. They said on the vital issues of the country there should be no politics and double standards should not be maintained. Shujaat talking of the party policy said that they were following a comprehensive policy where they were working for the aid of Swat victims.
Shujaat Hussain and Pervaiz Elahi advised the government to shun foreign aid in lieu of compromise on national security, atomic assets and other important national requirements. They said the government was dramatising on the issue of displaced persons and wheat procurement. On the occasion Shujaat announced Rs 5 million for the Muslim League relief fund and formed committees for the aid of Swat displaced victims.
