The sector of small enterprises is the backbone of the economy that needs to be promoted by the youth of the country rather than looking for jobs in public sector. Chairman, Task Force of Punjab Assembly of Chief Minister, Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan expressed his views while addressing the students of business management sciences here at new senate hall on Saturday.
He said that the provincial government is taking measures on war footing bases to eradicate Booti Mafia in the educational system of the province to ensure provision of quality education. Afzal Khan pointed out that leading business companies in the USA are established by the overseas of various countries which is result of business friendly policies of US government and now these companies, including yahoo, gmail, goggle, eBay have become the major pillars of the US economy.
Furthermore, the Chairman task force said that employment opportunity in the public sector is considered as a last option in the other countries whereas Pakistani youth put public sector employment at their top priority, which needs to be changed by setting up small business in the country.
He urged the students of business management to change their priority and start taking interest opening their own business, which would help generate employment opportunities for other people. He further said that the students to point out flaws and drawbacks in the examination system and suggest appropriate yardsticks to make improvement in the system.
Speaking on the occasion Vice Chancellor, University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that to enhance the scope of entrepreneurship and small business with unique ideas in Pakistan UAF is going to offer degree and diploma courses in collaboration with French counterparts to improve entrepreneurship skills. Professor Dr Muhammad Ashraf Dean Sciences and Co-ordinator DBMS Professor Dr Inyat Khan also expressed their views on the occasion.
