DCO Saeed Wahlah has ordered to conduct physical verification of all kind of record of wheat procurement centres in the district constituted committees comprising Deputy District Officers (R) and other officers and notified them in this regard.
Presiding over a meeting, the DCO directed the committees to verify the stock of wheat purchased during the current campaign and to tally the payment scrolls with the record of Banks and Food Department, besides checking all relevant records of Food department.
Moreover, the actual distribution of bardana and its retrieval with wheat or empty return to the Food department should also be verified, he maintained. The meeting was informed that each committee was comprised of two officers for each centre for physical verification of record and stock of the wheat.
According to the notification, DDO (R.) Faisalabad and DO Labour would verify the record of wheat procurement five centre in Faisalabad, while DDO (R.) Chak Jhumra and Assistant Director Labour, Saeed Dhillun had been assigned to verify the record of Darul Ihsan centre.
Other committees included DDO (R.) Jaranwala and DO Civil Defence for Rodala Centre, DDO (R.) and TMO Jaranwala for Jhok Ditta Centre, DDO (R.) and DDO Agriculture Jaranwala for Buchiana centre, DDO (R.) and DDO Agriculture, Samundri for Samundri purchase centre, DDO (R.) Tandlinwala and EDO Agriculture for Tandilianwala centre, DDO (R.) and DDO Agriculture. Tandilianwla for Kanjwanai centre, DDO (R.) Tandilianwala and DO Agriculture for Mamunkanja centre, DDO (R.) Sadar and Secretary, Market Committee had been assigned to do physical verification of all kinds of wheat procurement records and stock for Sir Shameer centre.
The DCO directed the committees to get possession of record of their concerned purchase centres immediately and wheat godowns should be sealed so that no tampering or alteration could be made after the notification of physical verification of the record. Wahlah said that wheat procurement campaign had been entered in its final phase and now wheat would be purchased under the government policies and directions.
