The Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has constituted seven benches for the next week starting from May 25 at the Principal seat to hear a number of cases. The first bench comprising Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed, and Justice Chaudhry Ijaz Ahmed, and second bench of Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan, Justice Muhammad Akhtar Shabir, and Justice Syed Zawwar Hussain Jaffery.
The third bench comprising Justice Mian Shakir Ullah Jan, Justice Chaudhry Ejaz Yousaf, and Justice Sardar Muhammad Aslam, and fourth bench comprising Justice M. Javed Buttar, Justice Muhammad Farrukh Mahmud, and Justice Muhammad Sair Ali.
The Fifth (larger bench) comprising Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani, Justice Nasir ul Mulk, Justice Mohammad Moosa K Leghari, Justice Shaikh Hakim Ali, and Justice Ghulam Rabbani, (after the larger bench) Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani, Justice Nasir ul Mulk, and Justice Ghulam Rabbani. The sixth bench (after the larger bench) of Justice Mohammad Moosa K Leghari, Justice Sheikh Hakim Ali and bench VII of Justice Zia Perwez, Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany and Justice Sayed Zahid Hussain will function in the next week.
According to cause lists, no application for adjournment through fax would be placed before the Court. If the counsel is unable to appear for any reason the Advocate-on-Record will be required to argue the case. No adjournment on any ground will be granted.
