29 May, 2009

Chicago Board of Trade grains and soya complex at 12:04 am CDT (1704 GMT) on Thursday. July wheat up 9-1/2 cents per bushel at $6.35-1/4. Rallies to four-month high on fund buying, concern about reports of diseases in US winter wheat crop and slow seeding of the US spring wheat crop. July corn up 1-1/4 cents per bushel at $4.27-1/4.
Fund buying, soaring wheat and concerns about production declines this year because of late seeding of 2009 US corn crop supports corn futures. Soyabeans of July up 1-1/4 cents per bushel at $11.88-1/4. Tight stocks of soya and fund buying supports soy but profit-taking limiting gains and occasionally moving market lower.
