Three bridges on Old Indus Highway opened for public

Keeping in view the inconvenience being faced by the citizens of Hyderabad, three bridges constructed at Phuleli, Pinyari and Lined Channel on Old Indus Highway at a cost of Rs 200 million have been opened on the directives of District Nazim Hyderabad Kanwar Naveed Jamil.
The District Nazim who himself was present at the opening of these bridges, having 36 feet width each and 330, 250 and 100 feet length respectively said that the District Government suffered hardship in constructing these bridges due to encroachments.
After completion of these bridges, the District Government also started the widening of Old National Highway right from Qasim Chowk to Hatri Police Station at a cost of Rs 200 million and the completion of second phase of the project will make it convenient for the citizens to operate their vehicles on dual carriage road without any difficulty.
Kanwar Naveed Jamil said that keeping in view the increasing traffic jam, the District Government had started the construction of ten flyovers and bridges, of which three bridges have been completed. While Nazir Hussain Flyover Latifabad Unit No-7, Hosh Muhammad Sheedi Flyover at Qasimabad and Sakhi Abdul Wahab Sahib Flyover at Makki Shah Raod have been opened for the traffic.
