01 Jun, 2009

Investment under CFS declined by 37 percent during the week ended on May 20, 2009 to Rs 104 million on Friday from Rs 167 million a week earlier.
"With the phasing out of the CFS Mk-II since April 8, 2009, the investment level has been falling by every day as investments made earlier are being released", Muniba Saeed, analyst at Invest Capital and Securities, said.
The CFS rate, however, declined by 20pps to 30 percent towards weekend amid declining CFS amount, as investors' demand for financing declined, she added. The top 5 scrips by CFS investment were Engro, MCB, Lucky, POL and NBP contributing 92 percent of total investment.
