Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Sunday notified that the maximum ex-depot sale prices of petroleum products effective from Monday June 1 will remain unchanged. According to notification issued by OGRA, the prices were kept unchanged on advice of the government. According to reports, OGRA had demanded raise in prices of the petroleum products.
However, the government did not agree with the OGRA proposal. The price of motor spirit will remain unchanged at Rs56.21 per liter, HOBC Rs 70.28, kerosene oil Rs51.87 and light diesel at Rs48 per liter. OGRA explained that High Speed Diesel(HSD) price is deregulated and therefore, the same is being maintained by Oil Marketing companies at the existing level.
