Religious alliance vital to resolve national issues: Haideri

Secretary General Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), Senator, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said on Monday that alliance of religious parties could play an effective role to resolve national issues and steer the country out of prevailing crises. Talking to APP, he appreciated Jamat-e-Islami's proposal for the revival of religious alliance, 'Muttahida Majlis Amal.'
He informed that JUI-F was already trying to revive the alliance of religious parties of the country and pointed out that all religious parties of the country had almost similar ideology on national issue including Swat. He was of the view that by uniting on single platform, the religious parties can play more effective role to resolve national issues like Swat and Balochistan.
Haideri lauded the efforts of Jamiat Ulema Pakistan to convene the meeting of all religious parties of the country in Lahore on national issues and observed that the party's efforts would prove fruitful for grand alliance of religious parties.
He said that JI is one of the major religious party of the country, adding that JUI-F would soon invite the leadership of JI to participate in religious alliance. Haideri said that the demand of Sufi Muhammad for Nizam-e-Adl is right, but he opposed the way of implementation of the system and described it as anti-Islam, adding that Islam does not allow any individual to implement laws by use of force.
