Bollywood actor Sitaram Panchal, best known for his performance in Irrfan Khan’s Paan Singh Tomar, died Thursday morning after a three-year-long battle against lung and kidney cancer. Panchal worked with Akshay Kumar (Jolly LLB 2), Irrfan Khan (Paan Singh Tomar) and several other A-listers of the industry.
According to Indian media reports, the actor was complaining of breathlessness in the morning and was rushed to the hospital. He passed away at around 7.45 am. His last rites will be held today.
Panchal died a day after celebrating his 26th wedding anniversary. His son Rishabh Panchal and wife Uma Panchal posted a photo to mark the occasion on Facebook.
Sharing the news with Indian Express, a relative said, “Sitaram Panchal passed away this morning. He had breathing difficulties. He was not keeping well for a long time.”
