Another five truckloads of relief goods donated by Mumtaz Bukhtawar Memorial Trust hospitals, were distributed on Tuesday among the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of Swat. Trucks carrying essential edible items, including flour, cooking oil, mineral water, sugar, the best export quality rice, milk, biscuits, quilts, blankets, foam beds, pillows and utensils etc were despatched last night from Mumtaz Bakhtawar Memorial Trust Hospital, Raiwind Road.
A fleet of seven mobile ambulances of Mumtaz Bakhtawar Memorial Trust hospitals, equipped with life saving medicines, is providing round the clock free medical treatment to affectees. The ambulances will remain stationed in the affected areas till their need there.
Trust Chairman Iftikhar Ali Malik distributed the items among the displaced persons. He announced the facility of free of cost goods delivery of relief goods collected by private sector, and said all the relief goods must be delivered at relief camp set up at Mumtaz Bakhtawar Trust Hospital, Rainwind Road for onward despatch to Swat affectees.
"The office of Mardan Chamber of Commerce and Industry was made central distribution point from where relief goods will be distributed among the affectees," he said.
