03 Jun, 2009

The Chief Justice (CJ) of the Lahore High Court (LHC), Khawaja Muhammad Sharif taking suo motu notice over the alleged non-issuance of plots to three women, who made full payment in 1981 has directed the law officer to obtain a copy of the record of the society and appear before the court on June 04, 2009.
According to a complaint sent to the CJ by post, Humaira Amjad, Feroza Sarwar and Zammurad Salman bought three different plots, F-17, F-15 and A-62 of one kanal each in Aitcheson Housing Society in 1981.
It is further alleged that plots F-15 and F-17 are in illegal possession of Arshad Butt, ex-president of the society, while one Maqsood Butt is occupying the plot A-62. Justice Sharif observed that the grievances seem to be genuine and directed Humaira Amjad to appear on the same date.
