Pakistani food exporters will participate in Tuttu Food Exhibition, Milan

For the first time in histroy , Pakistani food exporters will be displaying their products in Milan in Tuttu Food Exhibition under the umbrella of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, the exhibition is co-ordinated by Nasa International (An Event Management Company) Karachi - Pakistan, 10 companies from Pakistan are going to participate exhibition , mostly related to the export of rice and fresh fruits from Pakistan.
Italian food market has great potential for Pakistani exporters related to the export of food stuff from Pakistan especially rice, fruits and sea food, keeping in view this great potential the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan is participating in an exhibition in Milan with the name of Tutto Food, a big, highly qualified professional food business exhibition in Italy with 1163 total exhibitors, 15 national pavilions and 21,000 professional trade visitors from 33 courtiers in 2008 edition , an effective shop-window where the sector's most innovative ideas can be found. The exhibition is scheduled to be held from 10th June 2009 to 13 June 2009.
Italy is the largest consumer of both rice and pulses in the EU. consumption of milled rice increased by 4.3% annually between 2000 and 2004, totalling 567 thousand tones in the later year.
Italy has the largest consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables in the EU. In 2006, total value of household food consumption (both home and out-of-home) in Italy was €203 billion. The share of fresh fruit and vegetables in this was 4.6% and 7.2% respectively. Italy is the fifth largest importer of fresh, chilled and frozen fish products in the EU.
