Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has decided in principle to cancel the allotment of all those industrial plots, located in various AJK industrial estates including in Mirpur and Bhimbher districts, whom allottees have defied the prevalent rules, official sources said.
The sources told APP here that decision to this effect was taken in a recent high level meeting of the allotment committee of the concerned department. The meeting reviewed and discussed in length the overall performance of the AJK Industries department.
The meeting appreciated the performance of the Allotment Committee vis-a-vis its recent action about cancellation of the industrial plots of various closed industrial units as well as of those who failed to establish the industrial units on the concerned allotted plots within stipulated period under the already determined rules and regulations.
The meeting unanimously decided to cancel the allotment of all those industrial plots whom owners/allottees have failed to take further steps for construction of their industrial units.
The meeting also decided to make the allotment of all the cancelled plots in favour of the fresh applicants seeking to establish the industrial units under the spirit to encourage the future investment in business sector in AJK and to open new avenues of employment opportunities for the job seekers in the forthcoming industrial concerns.
Meanwhile, the AJK government has directed the intending entrepreneurs including the upcoming allottees of the industrial plots to ensure the construction of the Industrial units within stipulated period from the date of allotment of the plots in line with the rules and regulations set by the authorities.
