Building collapses after firecrackers blast

Tension gripped the Quetta Town area after firecrackers stored in a ground-plus-one building exploded on Tuesday. However, no loss of life was reported in the incident. According to SHO Sachal Police, Inayatullah Narejo, the building, located near Super Highway, was being used as a warehouse by a private firm, Pakistan Super Fireworks.
The building suddenly collapsed after a huge quantity of firecrackers stored there exploded at around 3 pm. He said the explosives were of high intensity as the stuff of the building was scattered in the area. The SHO said a case had been registered against the owner of the warehouse and raids were being conducted for his arrest.
