Five people died in different incidents in the metropolis on Wednesday, police and witnesses said. Two people were shot dead in Sohrab Goth police limits in two separate incidents. According to police sources, Burad, 30 son of Ibrahim was killed when some unidentified bike riders sprayed bullets on him.
"The deceased was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), where he succumbed to his bullet wound during treatment, they said. The sources said another 26-year-old young man Hassan Ali son of Muhammad Jumman was gunned down by unknown armed assailants near Toll Plaza. The reason of both killings could not be ascertained till our going to press.
A minor boy was electrocuted when he was playing in a park namely Sunny Park located in Super Market police station limits due to electric short circuit. Later, the deceased was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy where he was identified as Abbas, 7 son of Ghafar.
A 35-year-old man Jalal was crushed to death by a fast moving train when he was crossing the railway track near City Railway Station. The deceased was brought to Civil Hospital Karachi, where he succumbed to his injuries. A young boy committed suicide by jumping from a four storey building near Trauma Centre, PECHS. According to reports, the deceased Ghulam Abbas, 25 son of Muhammad Bux was unemployed since two years.
