Punjab University meeting reviews progress of implementation of CMS project

A meeting of the Punjab University deans and senior officers reviewed the progress for implementation of Campus Management Solution (CMS) project. The project has been launched on the initiative of Higher Education Commission (HEC) in the Public Sector universities to shift manual work to computer, and put all data in the software in order to increase efficiency and streamline the system of admission, enrolment, results, class attendance, etc.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran presided over the meeting on Wednesday, while from HEC Pervaiz Khan and Aneela Naseem attended the meeting. Ayesha from Techlogix, a private firm hired by HEC, gave a detailed presentation on the project.
She informed the meeting that 65 percent data of teaching departments has been put in the software and remaining 35 percent data was being collected with the help of PU IT department. Speaking on the occasion the vice-chancellor emphasised upon the importance of this project, and urged the remaining teaching departments to send their data at the earliest.
