The International Islamic University (IIU) here on Wednesday opened the second day of National job fair for women to provide them with best employment opportunities. The event was aimed for provision of employment opportunities to young people, particularly highly qualified university graduates to lead the country towards prosperity and a state free from all sorts of terrorism and extremism.
A large number of female students from IIU, other educational institutions and corporate sector leaders participated in the job fair. While participants of various leading corporate sector companies and different faculties of IIU set-up their stalls carrying information about their vacant posts and job criteria for post graduate students in their respective companies.
The effort for organising a national job fair was aimed at to provide an opportunity for employers and qualified youth to interact with each other. According to the students of the university, organising a job fair was a new concept in Pakistan and in near future, major educational institutions and commercial organisations would realise its importance.
The academic staff and various faculties of the IIU displayed the information on hundreds of vacant posts of research associates, academic staff and employment in different departments of the university. The job fair was inaugurated by the Rector IIU, Professor Fateh Muhammad Malik who termed the fair as an activity to minimise the burden of the government that it has been facing due to unemployment.
