Passengers advised to arrive early for security checks

12 Jun, 2009

Airports in Pakistan have been put under high security alert. Passengers and luggage are being scanned and searched at each entry point to ensure public safety. Furthermore, all vehicles have to go through security screening before entering the airport premises.
PIA has advised its passengers to reach airports at least two and half hours before domestic departure time and four and a half hours before the international departure times so as not to miss the flight due to detailed security checking. To maintain on time departures, PIA check-in counters close 45 minutes before departure time for international flights and 35 minutes before Domestic departure time for domestic flights.-PR
